Earlier this year, I won a camera from a photography contest that I joined. It is a point and shoot camera powered by two double-A batteries. Ever since I got it, I have been buying those throw-away batteries after use and as I have calculated it has been really an expensive route for my photography needs.

Recently I got myself a pair of rechargeable batteries for the camera so I would just have to recharge every time I would have to use my camera. It is a bit expensive than the normal ones but at least I get to re-use it and not just throw away after use. So far, it has been serving me pretty well.
