Smorty website
Smorty is a service connecting advertisers with bloggers. Advertisers pay bloggers to write opinion posts with links back to the advertisers site. You could write your opinion on Smorty’s services and try to include some of the following keywords in addition to the anchor texts provided. Get paid to blog, get paid for blogging, blog advertising, advertise on blogs, blog for money.

Their system seems to be working great and I am personally impressed. They pay on a weekly basis and they have a lot of opportunities for every blogger registered. In fact, just when I signed up, I got 5 tasks already.

I would also love to try to advertise with them, but as of now my budget doesn’t allow me yet, maybe in the future. I would highly recommend this to anyone who looks for additional income for their blogs. You could click at the image below to sign up

Blog Advertising - Get Paid to Blog

Enjoy earning!

Entrecard Logo
Entrecard is indeed one of the greatest sites I’ve seen. I’ve came across this site on one of the forums I’ve been following and checked it out. Their concept is, you are a publisher and at the same time advertiser, but not that you would actually be paying money to advertise your “ad” on other entrecard user sites, all you have to is earn credits thru their system and pay using those credits. Each entrecard site has a price of its own depending on how popular and how many readers the site has.

I personally find their system amusing. I spent the whole day “dropping cards” and paying credits to advertise my “ad” to other sites. I also noticed a boost of traffic on my blog. I think Entrecard.com has a long way to go and if there is one thing lacking with their system, its probably managing multiple blog entries coz I’ve noticed that you are only to submit 1 blog on 1 account.

This is my entrecard.

To all Entrecard users out there, feel free to write a recommendation for my site and I would do the same to yours.

As I was browsing channels on our TV yesterday, my attention was caught when GMA 7’s Mel & Joey talk show featured a topic about how blogging would be an alternative way of earning income.
Mel and Joey Talk show
I was anxious to know who will they interview about the topic. First I thought it would be Marc Macalua of SEO Philippines coz he really should be famous about all this online revenue generation thing since he’s the founder. I also thought GMA 7 would have a word with Google Philippines representative, Aileen Apolo, to give insights about the matter. And to my suprise, it was Abe Olandres talking about the topic.
Abe Olandres of Yugatech
He enlightened people on how they actually could earn online thru blogging, I was pretty excited if he would spill the beans of how he actually earns online, but he was pretty safe on discussing the matter. He talked about how getting traffic would help a person earn online, about being a publisher of advertisements and they showed a couple of images showing affiliate programs like Text-Link-Ads and others, but I think they didn’t show any Google adsense footages there. I’m not sure. Abe blog about this here. He also have welcome notes from Mel & Joey here.

J. Angelo Racoma was interviewed too, he talked about how he learned about “problogging” as a corporate blogger and on how a blog could earn $1000-5000/month.

It’s really great knowing fellow filipinos do excel in the latest trend in I.T. today. It gives me that pride that Filipinos would always be competitive in any field. Mabuhay kayo mga pinoy bloggers! \m/^_^

Buy Blog Comments business
Yes it is…The fact that there are a lot of ways on how to earn thru the internet, this site above is one way to do it. The site is a business where you buy a package of blog comments for your blog. It seems to be legal, for whitehatters that is, but as far as SEO is concerned, I think i’m quite skeptical about the effect of blog comments on how this could actually help the website ranking in SERPS. This might give an impression on the click visits on your blog but I think this would not give any weight on how the weblog would rank on the SERPS.

The fact that rel=”nofollow” tag is widely used on blog comments link so that commenters’ website will not get any weight in the serps, I think guys from BBC(BuyBlogComments) should look into this. I mean, think of it, if you buy their package deals let’s say package 1, 100 blog comments, I believe it’s just like acquiring 100 visitor clicks from a 3rd party, self-proclaimed traffic provider websites, just like TrafficSwarm. I actually have experience with this kind of sites, but it made me realize that it was not worth when the time my adsense check was about to be released, I got an email from the Adsense team saying that one of my websites has illegally acquired visitor clicks from a 3rd party software and that I should stopped the use of it or else I would be penalized. I still have to study about this blog comment buying to see the pros and cons about it. I might be wrong about this that’s why I sure wanna hear feedbacks from the SEO gurus out there. \m/^_^

I just have to blog about this to help promote my own language and homeland, the Philippines.

The guys from pinoyblogosphere is throwing up a contest to trumpet the beauty and strength of the Filipino Language in line with this year’s Buwan ng Wika theme: Maraming Wika, Matatag na Bansa(Free translation: “A gift of tongues for a strong nation”). With the significance of the Internet in shaping the culture today, blogging about the Language will not only enforce the online Filipinos’ love for their native tongue, but also promote it to bloggers around the world.

So calling all fellow bloggers out there. Let us support this contest and let’s all be proud to be pinoy. Sumulat para mamulat ang iba tungkol sa ating mahal na Pilipinas! Wow, that actually rhymed…

How Blogs Can Break or Make Your SEO Strategy

Blogs are a great way to get started authoring content and sharing your knowledge and insights with other people. Plus, mix work and play - and you can get rich doing this.

You don’t have to be an MBA-accredited author by any means. However, there are some rules to play by, and I’ll break those out below. We will talk about the top blogs, practicalities around blogs and creative ways to get started, including how you could possibly ruin your good-standing ranking and having to change your Search Engine Optimization strategy.

Blogs - Structure and Layout

I work in the field of Search Engine Optimization. It has a wide range of options, from the technical to the more strategic. Tons of discussions are found on off-page and on-page factors, latent semantic analysis, content scope, quality, HTML/CSS development, site navigational structure, spamdexing, 301 redirects, plagiarism, link strategies, directories, blogs, search engine news, email marketing tips & online (internet) marketing. Most all of the top 10 SEO firms out there agree that blogs are a “must” for driving traffíc and to get established in the Internet community.

There is a right way, and a wrong way. We’ll discuss these below.

Be warned - too many folks out there are thinking about “how to outbeat the search engines” and use the latest-and-greatest (blogs) to elevate their rankings, essentially via content and blog sp@m. Blogs are a powerful way to get seen by the search bots. Blogger (Google’s own) is an important key to the puzzle, but there are many.

The Un-Official Top 7 Blogging Best Practices For SEO

1. Start here, begin a quick review of the world’s top blogs:

http://www.technorati.com/pop/blogs - updated daily

http://www.problogger.net - he makes #16,000/month

http://microsaw.stikipad.com - web 2.0 blogs

2. Get an account - it’s frëe. Log in - and - don’t start! What? No, you must first continue by scanning the list above and get a sense for what people are writing about. This could be more generic at first, but start looking to yourself. What do you know? What do people come to you for? Anything that you specialize in? (Hint: don’t think “how can I sell this” - but “how can I share this?”) You’ll also learn how to use trackback functions to allow other people to be notified. Permalinks are great for SEO and should be used where appropriate. So, now you learned something big: be yourself!

3. Think about an interesting headline. You don’t need to be a copywriter, but you should think about your headline and the topic at hand. More importantly, is it something that you are passionate about, or can contribute something to? It’s ok to spend some time here, writer’s block can come up. Think about other sites, can you re-write their UVP (unique value proposition)? How would you write yours (thinking theme here). What I’ve found to work is simply sit back and start talking as if you were discussing a (hot) topic with a friend, and then break it out into sub-groups from there.

4. Writing tips: casual, friendly and interesting (meaning you have something to write and you don’t copy others) works well in blogs. Make sure you stay on topic and that you are truthful. Would you lie to your mother? Of course not - then think about this when you are writing online (and she will not come after you). Yahoo’s blogging policy is a good one: “Be respectful of your colleagues, get your facts straight, provide context to your argument, and engage in private feedback.” Also, make sure to include images (flickr) and video (youtube, google video) where you can. Make the images rich and colorful, don’t worry about sizing too much.

5. Committment, persistence and discipline. Sound like an extract from Jim Rohn or Anthony Robbins? Well, they probably are - but it applies to most of the things you do in life. So be it with blogging. Carve out 1/2-1 hour every day to nurture your blog business. Think of it as your morning ritual - right after you have attended to your family and other duties. Plus, often you are not going to be in writing mode - but rather, maintenance mode - reviewing and responding to other blogger’s input.
